Lithium Battery Aging Rack Fire Warning Scheme

 

  • Background

                Before some lithium batteries leave the factory, lithium battery manufacturers will put them on the aging rack for aging test. Lithium batteries come in different shapes and sizes. During the aging process, some batteries with abnormal quality will catch fire. For the fire of a single battery, the smoke in the aging room cannot be detected at all. When a single fire battery ignites the normal battery next to it, the smoke will be detected, and the fire will be difficult to extinguish by this time.

 

  • Functional Requirements

              Before the lithium battery catches fire, an abnormality of a single lithium battery is detected, and the abnormal single lithium battery is dealt with to avoid the occurrence of fire.

 

  • Function Realization

                Before a single lithium battery catches fire, the temperature rises and produces peculiar smell. When a single lithium battery catches fire, it will produce light smoke (which cannot be detected by the smoke sensor). In view of the above situation, select the appropriate sensor to detect the abnormality of the lithium battery. When the sensor finds an abnormality, it will be transmitted wirelessly and reported to the corresponding management personnel, and the corresponding management personnel will take measures.

 

  • Temperature Monitoring

                Lay a temperature measuring resistor under each battery, place a temperature-reading collector on each row of aging racks, collect the temperature of each battery point in real time and upload it to the management platform. When the temperature is abnormal, it will alarm immediately.

 

  • Air Quality Monitoring

                When the temperature of a single lithium battery rises to the point of fire, there will be an unpleasant smell and small smoke. A sensor for monitoring PM2.5/PM10, TVOC, CO air quality is placed on each shelf. When PM2.5/PM10, TVOCS, CO are abnormally elevated, an alarm will be issued.
